Barbara Schegg Co-Founder

Barbara is a career management professional with a breadth of experience in recruitment, coaching and outplacement. After 12 years in education, she opened and grew Hunter Associates into a successful, full service recruiting firm for clients across Southern New England. She became a Certified Personnel Consultant and was very active in the CT Association for Personnel Consultants. In 1990, Barbara and her husband John transitioned the business into a broader human resources consulting firm, offering search, executive coaching and outplacement services. She has developed and conducted workshops on subjects including Résumé Writing, Romancing the Phone, Networking to the Goal, The 10 Commandments of Job Search, Successful Interview Strategies, What Your Body Language is Telling Me, and Negotiating the Offer. She has presented to many networking groups across Connecticut and Westchester.

She works with the Schegg Group team to coach clients through career transition by providing assistance with campaign strategies, resume preparation, job search correspondence, networking, successful interviewing, negotiating offers, and assimilation into the new company or career move. On the search side, she works with her already experienced staff to best identify the right talent to meet clients’ needs.

Barbara earned her BS in Education at Southern Connecticut State University as well as her MA studies in Special Education and Counseling. She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
